We were sad to see Dr. Corey leave us in 2006 but were pleased to find an excellent replacement in Dr. Raewyn Leech. With this move, the growth took off requiring Dr. Margaret Corey to come on board in 1999 and Dr. Jeffrey Drexler in 2001. Therefore, the practice relocated to a building that was specifically designed and built for the practice of optometry, in 1998, at 999 Hamilton Road. It was not long after that practice growth created the necessity to move to a much larger facility. In 1996, Dr. Danielle McPhee joined the practice. The original practice was in a small house at 801 Hamilton Road. History: East London Optometry was started in 1980 by Dr. John Astles. Dr. Astles is delighted to still have many patients that have been coming to the office since the early 1980's.
